Who We Are

The Lake County Dragon Boat Club Inc. (LCDBC) is a collective of diverse individuals, each bringing a unique blend of experiences and backgrounds to our team. From different ages and walks of life, our members have converged with a shared commitment to excellence, both on and off the water. Our individual journeys intersect, creating a unified force known as Wun Fun Cru. What binds us together is not only our competitive drive but also a pervasive spirit of enjoyment.

Wun Fun Cru made a significant mark in August 2023 by medaling at the Club Crew National Championship. By doing so, we secured a coveted spot to represent not only Central Florida but also the USA at the Club Crew World Championship in Ravenna, Italy. This achievement stands as a testament to our team’s unwavering dedication and passion for excellence.

As a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, LCDBC was conceived with a dual purpose. Firstly, we aim to promote the health benefits of dragon boating, fostering an environment where individuals can thrive physically and mentally. Secondly, we are deeply committed to making meaningful contributions to charities, both within our local community and in regions where we participate in dragon boat racing festivals.

What We Are About

At the core of LCDBC is the fundamental principle of providing broad access to dragon boating as both a recreational and competitive sport. Our mission is to instill the ideals and values of dragon boat paddling, creating an inclusive environment where athletes collaborate to achieve shared objectives.

Beyond paddling, our club leverages its competitive drive and spirited energy to support various charitable organizations. Every event we participate in serves as an opportunity to contribute to a local charity or a non-profit organization, with fees being directed toward specific local causes.
